favorite book on adoption

I have a book that helped me a ton. "Journey of the Adopted Self: A Quest for Wholeness" by Betty Jean Lifton.

I would be very interested in hearing about other books on adoption (or websites, etc) that have really made an impact on how you view yourself and your circumstances.

Thanks! Look forward to your responses!

    Ditto on that book.
I would highly recommend it too since it comes from the perspective of an adoptee.
Of course, we've discussed it here previously but "Primal Wound" by Verrier is a good one too (very good). The perspective of a birth mother with both an adopted and natural child.

THANK YOU....... Just from the title I think this book could really help me. At the age of 36, I finally began a search for my birthmother a month ago. Today I found out she died 3 years ago and I will not be able to contact any other family, including the 9 (half) siblings I apparently have. I cannot believe how sad I am today, mourning someone I've never met.

    Thanks again from another Christine.

    :-)
